OVER 7 MILLION SOLD

The DualScan Prime Ear & Forehead Thermometer offers all the features, accuracy, and reliability you have come to expect from MOBI. Featuring an additional food and milk bottle mode that reads the temperature to keep the ones you love safe from overheated food.

Key Features
  • ACCURATE READINGS IN 1 SECOND - Quick and efficient temperature measurement. Thermometers that provide accurate readings in just 1 second offer quick and efficient temperature measurement. This is especially beneficial in situations where time is of the essence, such as when monitoring the temperature of a restless child, checking the temperature of a patient in a healthcare setting, or conducting mass temperature screenings. The fast response time allows for prompt temperature readings, reducing discomfort and minimizing the time needed for temperature assessment.
  • NURSERY & HOME TEMPERATURE - Comfortable and healthy environment. Thermometers that measure nursery and home temperature help create a comfortable and healthy living environment. Monitoring the temperature in nurseries or children's rooms ensures that the room is within the optimal temperature range for a child's well-being and sleep quality. By ensuring that the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold, these thermometers contribute to improved comfort, better sleep, and overall well-being.

  • FOOD & LIQUID READINGS - Avoiding overcooking or overheating: In addition to food safety, thermometers that measure food temperature help prevent overcooking or overheating. Different foods require specific temperature ranges for optimal taste, texture, and nutritional value. By monitoring the internal temperature, users can accurately determine when to remove food from heat sources or ovens, preventing overcooking and maintaining desired quality. Thermometers that measure water temperature are valuable for various applications. Whether it's monitoring the temperature of hot water for bathing, preparing formula for infants, brewing coffee or tea, or achieving the ideal temperature for cooking or baking, these thermometers ensure precise control over water temperature.

  • MEMORY RECALL OF 9 READINGS - Tracking temperature trends: The ability to recall previous thermometer readings allows users to track temperature trends over time. This is particularly valuable when monitoring illnesses or tracking recovery progress. Users can compare current readings with past ones to identify patterns, changes, or fluctuations in body temperature. This information can help individuals and healthcare professionals make more informed decisions about treatments, interventions, or when to seek medical advice.

  • FAHRENHEIT & CELSIUS MODES - Simplified temperature conversion. Having both Fahrenheit and Celsius modes simplifies temperature conversion for users who are accustomed to one scale but need to interpret or compare temperatures provided in the other scale. Instead of relying on manual calculations or external conversion tools, users can easily switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes on the thermometer, eliminating the need for additional steps or potential errors in conversion.

Similarly, in homes, monitoring the overall temperature helps maintain a comfortable living space for all occupants. By ensuring that the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold, these thermometers contribute to improved comfort, better sleep, and overall well-being.

  • AUTO SHUTDOWN - Extended battery life: The automatic shutdown feature helps conserve battery power by turning off the thermometer when not in use. This is particularly useful in situations where the thermometer may be accidentally left on or forgotten, draining the battery unnecessarily. By automatically shutting down after a period of inactivity, the thermometer preserves battery life, ensuring that it is ready for use when needed and reducing the frequency of battery replacements.

Brilliant
Format: Hardcover
The First State of Being is a brilliant, highly readable middle grade book from the QUEEN of character-driven middle grade literature. This expansive sci-fi feels at once introspective and cinematic, leaping off the page like something made for a movie. This book will help young people and all readers reflect on our past and future as a human community, especially in terms of health advances, animal extinction, and the potential for technological development. It also highlights the love and fight in a mother and the need to view life through a positive lens by focusing most on the present, not our past or future.

Which Came First?
Format: Hardcover
Of course this won the Newberry award. From the first word, it reminded me of Donna Barba Higuera's The Last Cuentista. A plot so different and imaginative that you wonder how anyone could have thought of it and then carried it out. It's a story of a young boy who is trying to take care of the single mother who seems unable to take care of the family, through no fault of her own. It's a sci-fi fantasy. And it's a story of taking care of each other. At the totally satisfying end I found myself wondering about the chicken and the egg. Thinking I may have to read this one again to see if I can figure it out.

Well-written, twisty novel for middle school children
Format: Kindle
This is Kelly’s second Newbery Medal, the first being for *Hello, Universe* in 2018. Both are well-written novels for middle-grade children and should have a lot of appeal for that age. It's the year 1999, early fall, an apartment complex in Delaware. 12-year-old Michael is worried that the Y2K bug will cause the collapse of civilization on January 1, 2000. He has been stealing cans of food to create an emergency stash under his bed. He has started a new school, and his only friends are the apartment complex maintenance man and his high-school-age after-school babysitter, Gibby. Michael’s father is dead, and his mother works long hours to make ends meet. One day a strange kid shows up in the complex, dressed in unusual clothing and asking odd questions like, “What year is this?” It doesn’t take an experienced science fiction reader to suspect that this kid, Ridge, is from the future. He is interested in observing late 20th Century American culture. But he also wants Michael and Gibby to help him figure out how to get back to the future without interfering with the past and thus changing his own timeline. The 1999 part of the story is interspersed with notes about the future and the panicked dialog of Ridge’s family as they try to investigate what happened to him. It probably doesn’t have many new ideas for adult readers, but it will be surprising and exciting for readers ages 12 and up
